Former home of the the original IBrowse web browser

IBrowse for Amiga Computers

First things first you won't find the IBrowse application here. In fact OmniPresence.com has nothing to do with the IBrowse web browser. So what's the deal you ask? Here it is in a nut shell. I noticed in our web server statistics logs that we have had many visitors over the course of time trying to access /ibrowse on our web server. I did think much of it at first but the log continuallly shows this activity so I figured I'd investigate further. It turns out that the IBrowse web browser for Amiga computers was orginally created for a company called Omnipresence, now defunct, back in 1996. As the application and the Internet gained popularity more and more web developers added an IBrowse download button to their pages. There are still hundred of these buttons out there on old pages linked to this page which I'm sure accounts for the traffic in our log

It appears that after the former Omnipresence went out of business the original deveolper continued on with IBrowse. I guess you can still download it today. I'm not sure why you would want to but you can :)

This Ibrowse homepage is here : IBrowse

This is what Wikipedia has to say about IBrowse: Wikipedia /Ibrowse

This OmniPresence.com is all about business conferencing solutions. Mostly video conferencing solutions and in today's marketplace HD Video Conferencing has center stage. If you ended up here because your looking for the IBrowse web browser you got a history lesson instead. If you still using an Amiga you really need to get a newer computer :)
