Intelligent Transport
MASERGY’s Intelligent Transport brings the convenience of Ethernet anywhere in the world you do business. Now you can have Ethernet across a serial connection at port speeds of 128k to OC3--and anywhere in between—delivered to all of your national and global office locations when native Ethernet is not available. You also get to select single or multiple transport services (RFC 2547 VPNs, VPLS, Public Internet, etc.) in as many quantities and combinations as you need. It’s easy to change services and bandwidth, too, using MASERGY’s award-winning Service Control Center. Best of all, you can save money by combining your public and private networks on a single circuit without sacrificing security or flexibility.

MASERGY delivers multiple services over Virtual Connections (VLAN’s or DLCI’s). Customers can choose a single Virtual Connection or multiple Connections over a single interface.

Virtual Connections
Private IP – a private IPVPN network service based on RFC 2547. This service offers all the advantages of any-to-any communication with the equivalent security of layer 2 services. More than one Private IP connection can be implemented easily for customers who have separate networks within their organization.
Public IP – allows internet access for customers over a completely separated logical connection from private traffic.
Private Link – offers the ability to connect sites using a simulated point-to-point connection over a logical connection separate from the Public IP and Private IP connections.
VPLS – a layer 2 IPVPN service (based on the VPLS draft) that is ideal for customers interested in doing their own routing across their wide area network.

QoS Planes
Voice Plane – voice traffic is prioritized above all other traffic and is engineered to deliver toll-quality voice, regardless of the amount of data traffic on the network.
Video Plane – video traffic is prioritized above all data traffic but will not interfere with the Critical plane due to the way the service is engineered. This plane is ideal for videoconferencing and video streaming applications.
Critical Data – highest priority data traffic for applications that require guaranteed bandwidth. This service plane can burst to the full line rate if needed; however only the CSIR tier is guaranteed by MASERGY’s service level agreement.
Priority Data – prioritized best-effort data traffic for applications considered more important than normal best-efforts data. This service is ideal for CRM, ERP and financial software.
Normal Data – traditional IP equivalent to most service providers’ best effort service. This service plane is ideal for Internet browsing and low-priority business applications.
